AI Automation ROI Calculator
Estimate what one repetitive process is costing you — and what automating it could give back.
Pick a process your team repeats every week, tell us roughly how much time and what it costs, and this calculator estimates the hours and money you could recover by automating it. It's a quick, honest estimate for one process — the starting point before you rank them all.

How this is calculated
We take the hours your team spends on the process each week and apply a realistic automation rate — 30%, 55% or 75% depending on how rule-based the work is. We multiply across the year, then set aside 20% of the recovered time for human review, because good automation keeps a person at the checkpoints. The result is an annual estimate, shown as a range because every process is different. We deliberately leave out one-off setup cost and never assume 100% automation — an estimate that flatters the tool helps no one.
What this calculator does not do
- It looks at one process, not your whole operation.
- It uses your rough inputs, not a structured analysis.
- It does not rank your processes or build a plan — that's the audit.
Frequently asked questions
How does the AI automation ROI calculator work?+
You enter four things about one process — the hours your team spends on it each week, how repetitive it is (Low, Medium or High), the loaded cost per hour, and a currency. The calculator applies a realistic automation rate, multiplies across the year, sets aside 20% of the recovered time for human oversight, and shows the annual hours and money you could free up, as a range.
Is the calculation accurate?+
It's a directional estimate built from your own rough inputs, not a precise forecast. It never assumes 100% automation and always reserves time for human review, so it won't flatter the result. Your real number depends on your data and process — the AI Foundation Audit validates it.
What automation rate should I choose?+
Low (about 30%) for work that needs a lot of judgement; Medium (about 55%) for a mix of rules and decisions; High (about 75%) for highly repetitive, rule-based steps that look the same every time. When unsure, Medium is a sensible default.
Does automating mean replacing people?+
No. The calculator keeps about 20% of the recovered time for human oversight, because good automation keeps a person at the checkpoints. In practice people move from the repetitive steps to the judgement, exceptions and quality checks.
What's the difference between this and the AI Foundation Audit?+
This tool estimates the saving on one process you name. The AI Foundation Audit looks across your whole operation and ranks every process by return, suitability and risk — so you know what to automate first, and how.
Do I have to give my email to see my result?+
No. The estimate is free and shown instantly, with no signup. You only share an email if you want the results, an industry benchmark and the method sent to you in writing.
